Frequently Asked Questions
If legit = a lot of shirts sold, countless athletes, celebrities, and influencers wearing our gear, 3000+ 5 star reviews, thousands of dollars (and hundreds of shirts) donated to charity, and a very small team working hard to put out badass designs... then yes, we are legit af.
If legit = manufactured in bulk in China and sold millions, then no, we are not legit.
We'll give it to ya straight: Currently, we screw up about 1% of our orders (send the wrong item, print malfunction, general human-error type stuff, etc.). USPS and our shipping partners affect about another 2% (delays, strikes, wrong delivery address, etc.). So, we're currently around 97% reliable.
We give refunds/reprints when we – or our shipping partners – screw up. Our customer service team is best in the industry, largely because we pay for our DT customer service gang to be awake around the clock and get you a response at all sorts of crazy hours. They're also the best because they're just really nice people.
Dead Threads is your solution to apparel that isn't boring. Stuff that stands out, gets compliments, and looks badass. After years of painstaking R&D, we found that hand-drawn skeletons are an amazing way to achieve this. Try it out and see if you don't get compliments (you will).
We are based in the great state of Michigan but typically print and ship our gear out of Texas or California.
Is it busy season? If it's busy season (November–December), here in the USA, you're looking at 6–8 biz days from order → doorstep. Non-busy season, we're closer to 5–6 biz days. If you're in Canada or International, we say to expect up to 30 biz days. Remember: These are business days – we try not to work too hard on weekends.
Hand-drawn, always — You know a lot of the stuff you see on Etsy, or TikTok Shop? Idk if you're ready to hear this but... there's a lot of AI designs out there (there's also some really good, genuinely skilled artists on those platforms too, to clarify).
We're a tiny team — Corporations of 50+ people slinging copy/paste merch? Not DT. There's like, 6 of us. And heck I barely even do anything.
Fair pricing, not the cheapest — Are we the cheapest? Nope. And we never will be. We can never compete with AI-generated designs on dirt-cheap t-shirts, nor do we want to.
Constant new drops — Other brands seem to settle in with their usual selection. We found that people can't get enough of our skeletons, so we've gone on to make some crazy designs. Follow us on IG and subscribe to our emails if you wanna see why you will never see a skeleton shirt the same way after us.
Dead Threads is owned by a multi-national corporation of hedge fund investors and—nahh jk. You definitely believed that for a second though. DT is run by a small team of people who hate boring shirt designs. There's about 7 or 8 of us now.
